Week 10 – Google Business Profiles

For this week, I looked up different yoga studios on Google to see how their business pages looked and what kind of details they included. It’s crazy how much you can tell about a business just from the profile. Most of them had updated hours, tons of reviews, photos, and even links to book classes. It really shows how much a Google Business Profile can do for visibility.

1. Yoga Box – La Jolla, CA
Yoga Box had a clean, detailed page with a 4.9-star rating and over 60 reviews. Their photos looked professional, showing the studio space and class setup. The profile had their phone number, website, and business hours listed, plus a quick description of the types of yoga they offer, like Sculpt, Vinyasa, Flow, and Restorative. I could tell people actively leave feedback and check in since the reviews are recent and full of positive energy.

2. Yoga Branch Vista Village – Vista, CA
This one stood out because it’s actually close to where we live. Yoga Branch has been around for 20+ years and holds a 4.8-star rating with 24 reviews. The photos made it look super relaxing and community-based. There were customer reviews that said things like “The classes are engaging and accessible,” which gives off a friendly and welcoming vibe. Their profile also lets people schedule directly, which is a nice touch.

3. YogaSix Bressi Ranch – Carlsbad, CA
YogaSix had the most active-looking page. They have over 500 reviews and a 4.9-star rating. Their profile includes a link to their website, directions, and business hours. They also had a short description that said their classes are “fun, energetic, and deeply rooted in facilitating an amazing yoga practice.” It really shows how a well-maintained profile can make a business stand out.

After looking through these, it’s clear that the studios that keep their Google pages updated with new photos, clear hours, and recent reviews look way more professional and trustworthy. It also shows potential students that the business is active and involved with the community. When we finish setting up Jada’s Yoga Studio, I definitely want it to have this same kind of polished and engaging look.
